6 - My Advice For All The Girls And The Boys

"Don’t Just Try To Let Go. LET GO."

As teenagers, we love someone so much that we are in love with the idea of being in love not even reality could turn our minds. Even though they hurt us, even though the truth is just right in front of us, it doesn’t matter. We won’t listen. We won’t even tap on to the idea because the truth hurts. What we have, what we see and what we know wouldn’t make a difference. This person means everything to you and you would do anything and everything to be in your well-defined reality forever.

But maybe things aren’t aligning to what you want right now. Maybe it’s really NOT meant to be. What if it’s really time to let go?
You are hurt, in pain and everyone knows. Your heart, crushed into million little pieces. But still you wouldn’t.  You just can’t.

A million reasons are still holding your heart to him/her. How could you? It’s their smile that brightens up your bad day. One message or text from them and your heart just races. Those simple “Good morning! :)” and “What are you up to?” can turn your frown upside down. When everything just messes with your head, one call can change everything. It’ll all fall back into place again.

With all that, you cannot deny that it is all the same. The truth has changed everything and there’s no erasing in your mind. Yes, your love might be incomparable, but right now isn’t the right time. It isn’t easy. It never was and it never will. “It hurts but it would hurt more to stay”.

Holding on is one big move. It takes a huge piece of your bravery to love, but it takes more courage and strength to let go and end the story. But don’t worry, there’s a lot of time in the world. Time will put back all those broken pieces and make you whole again for another attempt to begin again.
